Waco! It's a lovely place in winter. Park is large and basic. Probably 50 or so RVs. A few passing thru like us, but mostly storage and full-timers as they are officially called. Most are single guys (how does that work out for dating?) Each seems to have a pick-up of course since they are virtually all travel trailers, a very large grill, a motorcycle and a few plastic totes strewn around. They start leaving at 6 am. Interesting - just never heard any mention of this population of permanent campground dwellers.
On the road to San Antonio. No cat. Wherever she is she decided to stay there.
We did discover that we passed close to site of the Waco massacre - not a happy thought, but one should pause and think about the slaughter of 54 adults and 22 children by who? Representatives of the government. That would be....the government. How is that possible? It was in 1993 -- which to me is not that long ago. Takes my breath away, the thought of it.
