San Antonio - Yeah, 3 days off
Feels like home
San Antonio, our first goal! Three days here and thank goodness. Driving this thing is real tiring. And apparently so is riding along -- well, I am worrying, too! Something about operating a train that is 50 feet long and appears to be several inches WIDER than whatever road or street you are driving on -- arrraugh!
Also good to know we are almost done driving it in Texas for a while They are inordinately fond of stacking freeways up on top of each other to dizzying heights, which gives you the possibility in an accident of not only crashing but then falling 60 feet off the thing.
Well, it was a bit of Frick and Frack go RVing when we got to park. We had opened bathroom faucets to relieve pressure when disconnecting water in Waco. Then forgot to turn them bck off - - natch. So when we connected the water here, the faucet was open. Water probably an inch deep in bathroom - yikes! Get me every towel we've got!
Bob's sister Suzie, who is among large contingent of Bob's relatives in San Antonio, came over with her two grandchildren. We had some concerns about how we would all fit in this small space as it was raining out. But it was fine. Jude and Jacob were cute and well-behaved. To keep them occupied, Bob gave them the assignment of finding cat's secret hiding place. It took them about 3 minutes. We had spent an hour looking and never found it. Where is a kid when you need one!?!
so where's the cat's hiding spot?
ReplyDeleteWhen the beadroom slide is open, there is a fist size hole that opens between the RV wall and the bed bottom and in she goes in. She probably has a little room about a foot and a half wide that run the full width of our king-size bed. A real Jolie Hidie-hole. Thanks, Jolie's Fan Club Admin
